High school sweethearts is what they used to call us. We did in fact meet in high school and began the dating process. While in college, we married and began our lives together in an attempt to do a new thing. Neither one of us grew up in a home where we saw a healthy marriage being modeled. For us to do something new meant for us to not only make sure that our marriage was built on a biblical foundation, but to also actively work to continue to get better.

We were both born and raised in Jackson, MS. However, we decided to relocate to Houston, TX shortly after we had our first child. It was great move. Fast forward a year and we had welcomed our second child. After 3 years in Texas, our family relocated once again to Minnesota. We have been here for almost 6 years now and we can say, in complete honesty, this truly was the best move for our family. Not only have we grown closer together as a whole. All of us have grown closer in our walk with Christ. Though, we have known for a while that we were called to full time ministry, it wasn’t until we started to really dig in that God released His plan for our lives. Head and Heart 1313 is an idea God gave us because of the desire we have to see marriages and families succeed. We are hoping to help people strengthen their relationship with Christ on an individual level. Our saying is, “Get your relationship with God right first and then all other relationships will come together after that.” This is something we both wholeheartedly believe. We are so grateful for God interrupting our date night to share His heart with us as we now are able to share it with you.
